Do you know that 80% of the companies that are successful in raising seed money (~300k) fail to secure future rounds of funding and 99% of deals are rejected when companies start discussing with venture capitalists (VCs)? Are you aware that only 2% of US Venture Capital was made in startups ran by female founders in 2021?

Through IdeasVoice, we were in contact with a number of investors and program managers and were given an insight into the difficulties faced by startups in convincing investors of their ideas.

Collectively, we narrowed this down to 2 main reasons. Firstly, a lack of sufficient information contained in pitch decks from companies made it impossible to submit deals and opportunities to investors. Secondly, the lack of ability to connect to VCs and their networks is another major difficulty faced by startups. 90% of the deal flow comes from the network of VCs, although the majority of portfolio investments is not profitable or has a very low ROI.

To target issues as such on both sides of the parties and bridge this gap, we decide to launch IdeasFundX focusing on problems encountered at the qualification and screening processes.

Capitalizing on the experience of developing an intelligent profile-matching platform, knowledge in data quality and data analytics, we strongly believe that innovation in AI and the decision-making process could lead to a way to apply innovative solutions to make fundraising more efficient.
